Jesus The Light of the World

JESUS The Light of the World

John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

When you say the name of Jesus, you are saying the full incarnation of the Word of God. Everything is contained within the name of our Lord Jesus.

Let us recall what has already been said:

The First Day:
Genesis 1:3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Light - Something that makes things visible or gives illumination.
A luminous rays which flows from the sun, a candle, a lamp, a beacon.
Illumination of mind; knowledge; understanding, wisdom.
To Reveal, Enlightened.

The Divine Word (Jesus) Brings Light.
This Light on the first day has nothing to do with the sun and/or moon. This Light is the Revelation of Gods Word. It had to be the first action that God took on earth, so He could take away the darkness that covered it. The Godhead in heaven is in another dimension and they had to transform the earth that a previous age had destroyed.

Genesis 1:2 the earth was without form, and void; and darkness
The darkness that was upon the earth was left over from a different age. Many people believe that it was this age that Lucifer was in charge of when his pride took over. Because of pride, his rein was cut short and he still wonders the earth today. Now called satan, he looks for ways to destroy the plan of God and the Kingdom.
For some reason the devil has some kind of time limit left before he is condemned. So remember that Jesus the Word of God has full authority over the earth and the universe.

Matthew 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? (The enemy has a time limit.)

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Pride)
Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. (This has yet to happened: shalt be)
Isa 14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
Isa 14:17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
(Genesis 1:2 Without Form)

For the plan of God is so incredible, that God speaks materials into existents. Had the prophets of the Old Testament speak His Word through the Holy Spirit to prophesy all aspects of the life of Jesus. Things that would make it impossible for anyone to be able to fulfill them. “The Word became Flesh”. We have to speak the Word in faith to receive salvation. We have to hear the Word before we have any faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. We have to speak the Word of God for the Spirit to move in our lives.

Here in Genesis, We Have the Salvation Story.
- Before light comes to us, we both are in darkness. Genesis 1:2, John 12:46
- The Spirit hovers over the earth, just as He does to us. Genesis 1:2, John 3:8
- Then comes the Word (Jesus). Genesis 1:3 (God Said), 2 Peter 1:19
- Through that speaking, you receive a revelation of the living Word and that living Word enlightens you from within.
2 Cor. 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Light comes to revive and restore us. Darkness is oppressive. In it we are apt to lose heart. We grow anxious, and full of fears. With the first glimmer of light in the distance, hope awakens, and we feel a load lifted off our minds.

We have often felt the reassuring power of light. In the darkness, objects that are perfectly harmless sometimes take threatening shapes; our imagination distorts them, and our fancy creates dangers. Light shows us that we have been alarmed at shadows. The devil does the same, as he will whisper into your ear of things that have no truth. This is when we will over react, did he say that, she did what, where were you, who are you taking to, we could go on and on, but lets don't. Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

When God sends the light of the Word, of which we speak, into a soul that has long been dwelling in, and rejoicing in the darkness which the evil liver loves, a person's first impulse generally is to shrink from it—to shut it out.
As you know very well, one of the chief characteristics of light is that it shows things, not as they might be, not as they are said to be, not as they ought to be, not as they are supposed to be, not as we would like them to be, but as they are!

Your life is revealed to you just as it is! There hang the thick cobwebs—long indulged, confirmed evil habits; here lies the thick dust of a dulled conscience—there the dark stains of grievous sins. And the air is full of countless motes—these are what you call ‘little sins’—motes of ill-temper; motes of malice and unkindness; motes of forgetfulness of God, and many others.
It is from God, this light; stand in it; gaze at it; look through it, till you see His face who sends it—God, who in the beginning said, as He saw the earth ‘without form, and void,’ who says, as He looks at you, “Let there be light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness”.

So let us be separated from the darkness of this world and go on to deliver the Good News that Light Has come into the world.
Tells someone today that Jesus is the Light and they do not have to walk in darkness no more...
