Envy Leads To:

 
Proverbs 14:30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
Proverbs 23:17 Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.

Proverbs 27:4 Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?

Envy - a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's advantages, success, possessions, etc.
Covet - to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others: to wish for, especially eagerly:

Regard to another's advantages – This is without a doubt the reason why the devil is out to get us. He hates our advantage we have in the earth. He wants to be God over the earth and he hates that God regards us as having dominion over the earth. He hates this verse: 

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

The 10 Commandments: First 5 are to honor God and Parents.

The last 5 all have to do with some type of Envy.

Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.

Why would you kill (murder).

Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Covetousness to wish for, especially eagerly.

Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.

Covetousness to wish for, especially eagerly.

Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

Covetousness without due regard for the rights of others.

Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.

God knows the intent of our heart in the flesh, just as the devil knows. He the devil is filled with this envy and knew in the garden of Eden that our flesh would follow him with this envy.

Biblical Examples:

Genesis 4:3-8

When Cain brought of the fruits of the earth as sacrifice unto God; and Abel also brought of the first-lings of his sheep, and of the fat thereof. God had respect to Abel and to his offerings, but Cain and his sacrifices he did not regard. And Cain was deeply grieved, and his countenance fell.

And Cain said to Abel his brother, Let us go into the field. And it came to pass, while they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. Genesis 4:8

You see, how envy and jealousy led to the murder of a brother.

Through envy, also, our father Jacob fled from the face of Esau his brother.

Gen 27:41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.

(Esau wanted to kill his brother)

Envy made Joseph to be persecuted and to come into bondage, because of his own brothers.

Gen 37:19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

Gen 37:20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

(They wanted to kill him.)

Through envy, David underwent the hatred not only of foreigners, but was also persecuted by Saul king of Israel.

We could go on and on about brother against brother

This all started with Cain and Abel, and continues until now.

Where does it stop?

With God, The Great I Am Has Made The Way.

(JESUS) To Have A Circumcised Heart.

To Open The Way To Life In The Spirit.

To Feed Off Of Him In The Word.

Don't Feed Off Of The World.

It is so easy to drift off into the worldly ways of wantonness.

The Key To The Removal of: Envy, Worldly, Fleshly.

Deuteronomy 11:18

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

Let Your Life Be Lead Only By The Word Of Our LORD JESUS.
As soon as you wake up, let it be on your heart.
Throughout the day meditate on the Word.
When you are going to sleep, let the last thought be about Jesus.
Let The Spirit Of God Flow Through You Always.
There Is Nothing Like The Oil Of The Spirit Flowing Through Your Heart .
